Press Release

Science, People and Politics Ltd.: current information - 7th March, 2009.

On 4th March 2009 Mr Fred Pearce, MD of Science, People and Politics Ltd., agreed that the company Science, People and Politics Ltd. might accept copyright of the phrase Nuggets of Science, which was transferred to it by Helen Gavaghan on 25th February, 2008. See press releases.

The company Science, People and Politics Ltd. continues not to reject the copyrights it is acquiring in its capacity as the owner of the title Science, People & Politics ISSN 1751-598X.

GavaghanCommunications continues to make final preparation of the bimonthly magazine Science, People & Politics for voluntary legal deposit of the triennial series with the British Library.

All works published in the title may be printed once per person for demonstrable scholarly purposes.

The title remains open access and thus its content is easily accessible.

If anyone wishes more than one copy of work published in the title, then black and white prints in A4 format of the article published on line are available for sale on request from the publisher. A portion of profit of such sales belongs to the author.

The managing director and company secretary of Science, People and Politics Ltd. have still not told the publisher of the title what percentage of profit it wants for any use of its copyrights.

To avoid conflict of interest I, Helen Gavaghan, have recused myself from any discussion being held by the CS and MD on this topic.

The Publisher of Water and World Affairs is still working toward depositing as requested by various repositories copies of the second edition of the book.

The Company Officers are all unsalaried. The company is not trading. The companies' actions are passive acceptance of acquisition of copyrights. It has no bank account. It is not VAT registered.

Helen Gavaghan, 7th March, 2009.

Science, People & Politics (ISSN:1751-598X) is a bimonthly eMagazine which became eligible for voluntary electronic deposit with the British Library on 9th September, 2005. It was not until publication of work by Arie S. Issar in 2006 that it became clear that the title could be a magazine. I had not set out to create a magazine. Prior to publication of Prof. Issar the title was a means of me (Helen Gavaghan) rebuilding a portfolio as I tried to stave off bankruptcy following medical, police and legal wrong doings and the wrong doing with respect to me of Prof M. Worboys of CHSTM in March 2004. Wrong doings that still have not been explained and apologised for.
